kono machi de, Alice in Wonderland, Marc Chagall

The images of the video seem to also broadly reference Alice in Wonderland (lest we forget the name of their mega concerts, "Dreams Come True in Wonderland") and the color pallet of Marc Chagall, who has a well-known painting at the MOMA in NYC, "I and the village" might remind one of "kono machi de...

kono machi de, DCT references, Monty Python & William Mo

I enjoyed this video for the music and the style of the animation. I wonder if anyone else noticed it has the primitive animation "method" often used on Monty Python shows from the 1970s? AND MOREOVER that in the background there is a figure doing the "silly walk" from the famous "Ministry of Silly ...

You've Got A Friend - sung by Miwa & Juon

5 days ago, posted on YouTube, there is a nice audio track of Miwa and Juon singing "You've Got A Friend" in English. It may be part of or after a Winter Fantasia 2011 performance. From the chit chat after the song, with my very limited understanding, it sounds like everyone was having a lot of fun.

DCT | 10 October 2011 | Highline Ballroom | Set List etc.

I attended the Oct. 10 concert in NYC. Here is my record of the set list. I concur with other forum members that the enthusiasm and love among the crowd and the performers were strong that evening. 1 Nando demo 2 Asa ga mata suru 3 Sono saki e 4 Osaka Lover 5 Eyes to Me 6 Haretara ii ne 7 Jikan Ryok...

favourite Opening theme?

I would say the opening to Sing or Die is rather special.

The ocean sound, Miwa's heartbeat, her voice soaring without words, the little bird tweeting. It calls to mind nature and life.

A perfect match for the songs to come.

True, Baby True

Thanks to you both for your replies. They have helped me understand! It also makes more sense as you have explained it.

True, Baby True

I am interested to better understand "True, Baby True" in the 20th anniversary concert (as I have seen it only on You Tube). This song seemed especially meaningful, but perhaps I am imagining some of that meaning, possibly incorrectly. Miwa's personality has been one of spunk and joy, particularly w...

Hello from new member

Hi! I am a new member, and as an introduction I express below my musings on the questions "why now, why DCT, why me?" I will start by saying, preaching to the choir, that DCT is fantastic! What range, what quality, what fun! They do bring beauty and harmony, and simply happiness to their listeners. ...
