Re: Wonderland 2015, Sapporo, New Year's Eve

Good lord! It would appear I did indeed get a much bigger tube of toothpaste than you, Spaceman!

Finally gotten around to trying it out, very fresh and minty! :D

Ah! Very nice...I would have loved to have seen Nishikawa's puppets. Was there an Andre Nakamura outfit nearby?
Yes I think I recall a suit topped with a blonde wig next to the puppets!

Re: Dreams Come True Touring Museum?

I went! http://i66.tinypic.com/9vh5i0.jpg Naturally I wasn’t going to pass this up, so straight after unpacking at my hotel, I made a beeline for the exhibition held at the fourth floor of Asty 45 building across from Sapporo station on the last day of the exhibition. The day before the Wonderland c...

Wonderland 2015, Sapporo, New Year's Eve

The Sapporo Dome is primarily the home of the Nippon Ham Fighters baseball team. An ultra-modern multi-functioned domed arena, it was supposed to be a 10 minute walk from Fukuzumi subway station (at the end of the Toho Line in the south east of the city) to the Sapporo Dome. More like half an hour w...

Dreams Come True Touring Museum?

Am I reading this right? There is a DCT museum that will be touring Japan in advance of the Wonderland shows?

http://dw-museum.jp/

Apparently it will be in Sapporo until the 30th of December. I arrive that day and can just catch it on the last day!

Re: DCT performing @ NumberShot 2015 - July 25th

Interesting. I can't recall the last time Dreams Come True played the summer festival circuit. Is this why Wonderland 2015 is in late autumn rather than the usual peak summer?

Re: New Greatest Hits Album: The Best - Watashi to Dorikamu

Watching this promo clip, I'm once again struck by the fact there has never been a proper Dreams Come True music video compilation. 25 years would have been the perfect time to pull all their videos on one disc, especially the rarely seen pre-1998 ones.

Re: Wonderland 2015...

Having gone to the Attack25 concert in Saitama last year, wasn't thinking of going to Wonderland this year. However, now I see that they will be playing in Sapporo on New Year's Eve. I will be in Hong Kong for Christmas and New Year, Sapporo is very doable. Tempted...

The band was basically Fuzzy Control plus an extra guitarist and Otani on keyboards, a full horn section and Rin on backing vocals. No Marcellus.

Saitama Concert, 24 August 2014

Sunday afternoon, I journey 50 minutes north-west of Tokyo on the Keihin-Tohoku line to Saitama Shintoshin station. Adjacent to that is the Saitama Super Arena. Although 14 years old, it’s still a futuristic-looking multi-purpose venue where the main arena can shrink or enlarge depending on the even...

Saw it today. Yes it's strange that Dreams Come True pretty much never get a mention on J-Melo. Though I suppose it could be argued that they concentrate on new music and new artists, and that the Ayumi's and the Namie's and the DCT's of the J-Pop world are too big to grace the show.

Hmm, in terms of travel, 4th and 5th of October in Shibuya would be the handiest. But dates-wise 23/24 August in Saitama or New Year's Eve in Hiroshima is better. A bit of planning (and saving!) is required here.

Pity they haven't included Ureshii! Tanoshii! Daisuki! on the DVD. Presumably they only performed at the New Year's Eve concert in Fukuoka I attended?
