I'm assuming DCT has turned down NHK's invitation to attend Kouhaku- with a number one single, I'm sure they were asked.

Come to think of it, it has been an awful long time since they made a TV appearance- was it the last Kouhaku? I wonder if it's because Miwa is still in mourning- understandable, but considering all the other media output the band is doing, it's strange not to see TV performances of the new songs.

nah, the selection process has to be highly political and I don't think DCT would turn down a bid, especially at this stage in their career.

Though of course if Miwa just wasn't up to it then I think the PtB would "sense" that and not extend the invitation in the first place.

No TV appearances in the past year might just give the Biz the good "sense" to not ask. Point well taken.
