...and TV in general, it seems.

Will we ever see them on the air again?

I have been wondering that too.. :(

When they were doing performances on shows, I really enjoyed them, I would even watch some other performances from the other singers. Now, I don't exactly have any interest in watching shows like Music Station..

They had a pretty long hiatus from TV performances from 2001 to 2004. Although I do have the whole MS episode from 2004 which was the first TV show they did in years, I can't for the life of me understand the interview. :x I know they are asked what happened but then my brain shuts off. I shall put it on the popular streamed site sometime...

So I suppose we will see them on TV again in the future. I surely hope so because I loved the holiday season where they went around playing Moshi mo Yuki Nara in most music shows. That was so great! ^^

The gap in TV apperances from 2001-04 parallels the time between the release of 'MGO' and 'Diamond 15' following Niehya's departure, a time of change for DCT. In this time of change, I wonder if we'll have to wait until 2010 (or later) for the next TV appearance.

I agree with you, Kohaku- I usually only download music shows if DCT is on. The rest is icing on the cake.

When I saw it, I thought, "Really? Really??" and, it's true!! I can't believe it, really happy about it! I hope this means they'll be doing TV performances again.

This is HUGE!!!! YAY!!! They are back!!! ^^

What song are they going to play? Tsuretette Tsuretette?

I hope it's "Almost Home". It's such a perfect song, with so many different parts than can showcase their talents. Both it and Tsure Tsure are from 2008, though - I don't know how the Kouhaku songs get chosen.

Usually they pick their most successful of the year. But I guess Tsurete Tsurete because it was their first #1 single since Asa ga Mata Kuru. Could it be a Good Bye My School Days / Sono Saki e medley? That'd be cool! ^^

Which reminds me I need to share their Kouhaku performances with you guys. I managed to get an episode of NHK's Songs featuring their Kouhaku appearances since 2004 in HD quality. Plus I have videos of ALL the years they were on Kouhaku! ^^ There is no point trying to get those on the streamed site because they are erased quite fast...

Or a 'Nando demo/Sonosaki-e' medley (a good plug for the show). Of course, 'Merry-Life-Goes-Round' would be quite appropriate.

Looks like DCT will be the 2nd most senior non-enka entry on the red team, behind Akiko Wada.
