New Digital Single: "Kaiju" released on March 21

"Kaiju" will be the theme song for the upcoming movie "Kaminofude ~ kaijū-tachi no iru shima ~", schedule for release Summer of 2024.

At the passionate request of director Keizo Murase, Miwa Yoshida who is from the same hometown as Murase's (Ikeda Town, Hokkaido), graciously accepted the offer to write a song for the new movie. Also, Masato Nakamura has been a big fan of the director Murase's past creations of monsters, so he readily agreed to work together on the new song "Kaiju" for this movie.

More info to come, but I love Kaiju movies, so I can't wait...

Yeah, it just popped up on YoutubeMusic! What a world we live in now! XD

Definitely a lot more sedate than I would have thought from a song titled Kaiju. o.o The main part with its chord progression and ballad style reminds me of previous tracks like Hajimarino La or Sorao Yomu. In fact, I would say it'd probably fit right in the Diamond 15 to And I Love You era without you really being able to tell! But the soaring bit towards the end is quite impressive and haunting! It's very much a return to form for Miwa and Masa. n.n I haven't minded the recent output, certainly, but it feels very... homey! Just a good, solid, familiar DCT track.
