DCT on iTunes Japan

Post by Jei » Sat Dec 02, 2006 12:25 am

It's only one song, but it's a start :)

The "Sweet Dream (06 Akon Mix)" is DCT's first song on iTunes Japan. It's the #8 best selling single right now. It's even being featured as an ad as the top left corner of the main page.
(It's them + Akon).

Hopefully the first of many to come ^^

mebbe they'll make a DCT iPod. Tho B'z owns DCT as far as "chart-ins" goes. Southern All Stars has the longevity of U2 beat . . . their first single was in 1978. A while back the Japan iTMS offered a complete B'z box set download. . .

The number of #1s B'z gets is ridiculous...

Yeah, I wonder why that is. Some of their most recent stuff is pure crap. Then again, I was always a fan of the new-wave B'z and the "Aerosmith" B'z.

BTW, anyone know what DCT and B'z are planning for their 20th anniversary next year? It would be really great if SonyBMG re-released their albums (I'm assuming that B'z would be considered part of the SonyBMG family).

And both bands should look at either releasing a DVD with all their music videos, or maybe even a live album.

It's a real shame that Tak Nishikawa got himself thrown in prison. It would be really great to see the original lineup back together again, even if it was a one-off deal.
