New album, "And I Love You" - 12/12 out

It says that she was overwhelmed with tears on every line while recording.
I think it's very important that everyone here understand what she's saying in it, so I will try my best to give a translation here.

I could have done better in some parts, but that's the rough translation. I won't deny it made me choke on some tears to have to read and write that, I really feel her emotion through this song. I just hope I was successful in getting it across to others as well....

I understood most lines for this song when I first heard it, sometimes a miracle like this happens to me. These lyrics punch me, specially when she talks about going to the place he is now... I have been quite emotional lately, I haven't been able to listen to it without crying. Miwa was really able to put her emotions into this song.

EDIT: I just realized that DCT's album sold more in its first week than B'z! GO DCT!!! ^^

As sad as the lyrics sound, in the song Miwa sounds hopeful, as if she knows she will meet her husband again.

Doubly sad, though, that we knew virtually nothing about their relationship until he passed.

The Week 1 figures are in!

"And I Love You" sold a fantastic 374,175 copies in its first week! ^^
(That's more than 150,000 more copies than 'Love Rocks' or 'Diamond 15' sold in their first weeks...)

That puts them at #2 for the week ^^

An interesting note: B'z only sold 292K of their new album in its first week last week...

On a tangent: Mark my words..."Mata ne" will be a huge selling single...

I was wondering when the first sales figures would come in. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at the very top next week. None of those other artists hold a candle to DCT!!

I finally got my copy of the album yesterday. I wasn't at all happy to see the stamp from the customs claiming it was released without opening. But I didn't have to pay customs taxes so no problem.

Jei, you were right. Its limited edition DVD made me go nuts. I even went "d'oh!" when the video was cut. I think I was too upset to laugh at first. But that ending, "are you already recording?"... it is one true gem.

Finally got my copy today!
Real nice packaging. The way the lyrics card is made is so unusual(there's no way to open it up from the ring is there :p). Of course the songs themselves are great as expected. Nocturne 001 is surely my fav on this album.
Haven't gotten around to watching the DVD yet but I can't wait!

^ I'm SO happy to see DCT selling like this! They made some killer singles lately, no wonder it is selling so well.

I meant to tell you guys that Masa has been promoting the album on what is called "Doriblog The Event". There is a video now on DCT Garden about one of these events. I just watched it.

After four weeks, the new album has officially sold more than DCT's first album

CDJapan *always* says it's Region 2. It's been 4 years since they were right when it comes to DCT region ratings. ^^ There's no reason to think it won't be Region ALL. (Love Rocks concert was Region ALL).

Thanks. Yeah, I was referring to DWL 2007. Sorry I wasn't clear on that. You can already preorder both the limited edition and regular edition via CD Japan. It will ship on February 27 when it is released.

By the way, does anyone know which date 9/22 or 9/23 they used for the DVD? From what previews I've seen, it looks like some of both...Some scenes with the clear sky that appear to be 9/22...and some in cloud cover that looked more like the weather on 9/23.
