Miwa announced her next solo project on the DCT-Radio. She is going to release her second solo album this year!!!

This is big news. Thanks. You've just made my day. I can't wait to hear it. My guess is that will be more jazz-oriented stuff, but really, who knows? Miwa is such a gifted singer who can handle a wide variety of styles. Anything is possible. One thing is certain, it's going to be great to listen to!

She didn't mention any detail about it, just said she was going to make her second solo album this year.
I don't think she (+ Masa) has much time to work on this project sometime soon since they must be so busy preparing for Wonderland 03.
Do you remember Beauty and Harmony was released in December 1995? In the same year, they had Wonderland 95. The situation is similar, huh?
So, I assume her 2nd album will come out at the end of this year.
Anyway, I personally want it to be a jazzy album again.

"beauty and harmony 2" will be released on May 6, 2003 from DCT records. Once again, great musicians will come together!

On May 6th, there will also be a simultaneous release of Miwa's new single.

The Beauty and Harmony All Stars were a stunning historical collection of the best side men in the business the first time around...and this time there's even more of them:

I just picked my copy up at Kinokuniya (boy, they got it fast!) -- haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but man, what cool packaging! I'm not sure I've ever seen such a literal jewel case in my life. :)

I ordered the limited edition version from cdjapan.com, and it came with a free poster! It's a large poster taken from one of the shots inside the booklet. Cool stuff!
B&H2 is brilliant, of course! A nice, smooth flow to all the songs. I especially like the section from tracks 6-9. The songs just seem to click together really well. Favorite tune is otona jan. With the instrumental breaks in the song, I can see it being a showstopper in concert.
I really enjoy Miwa's liner note comments where she gives thanks to the various people who helped on the record.
Some very nice photos of Miwa in a kind of dance-type outfit on the jacket, showing a fair amount of leg. She jokes in the liner notes about being "miwa the monkey girl with big knee caps."
I sure hope they make a DVD of the upcoming tour!

Got the beautiful jewel case yesterday...haven't listened to it yet (on business trip in SF), but at least I was able to find it in Japan Town

Great pictures of Miwa with the new b&h gang, as well as Miwa herself (nice gams ^_-)

Very happy to see that b&h2 moved up on the Oricon charts to #4 ^_^

The only regular store places I can see you getting b&h2 in the states would be Japanese bookstores (like Kinokuniya) or a music store in the Japan town (or maybe China Town) in your area (if you have one)....

Other than that, you've gotta go online...CDJapan is always good...
