Original version of Song of Joy?

Hi, first post here :)

I first listened to Sing or Die at a record store in the US sometime in the 90's. I was really taken by Song of Joy but didn't buy the album at the time.

I finally bought it some time later, but could swear it wasn't the same version of Song of Joy I first heard. The official version everywhere is more of a remix, this is especially obvious when compared to other tracks in the album.

I'm really desperate to find that original version. Or was my memory just an imagination?

Thanks for any pointers!

Welcome to the forum, Sivan! :)

Odds are pretty good what you heard was one of the remixes on the "Song of Joy" promotion disc that was out in the US in '98. Probably the "Tony Moran" remix I'd bet...(tho the Jimi Jamm Radio Edit was great too) :)

The only place I've ever seen it was on eBay and that was a while ago, so that'd be where I'd suggest looking. (There's usually a decent amount of DCT items there, so you might get lucky). :)

BTW, please feel free to introduce yourself in the Introductions forum when you get a chance...let us more about you interest in Dreams Come True :)

Welcome Sivan,
The Song of Joy disc does regularly come up on eBay around every 2-3 months so keep you eyes open
