Hi =)  I'm also a Hawaii native.  I got into DCT in early 1997 when I watched the drama "Aishi.teru to Itte Kure" on Kiku, a local channel that shows subtitled J-drama.  DCT did the theme song "Love Love Love" from that drama, and I thought it was a sweet song that captured the emotions from that drama.  When I found out that there were places on Oahu where Jpop was sold, I asked some relatives who were going to Oahu for a visit to get me the cd which had that song (Love Unlimited), and I've been hooked on their music ever since. =)
