That's true! I know "Let's Groove" by Earth Wind & Fire and it never occured to be that there is a similarity.

One DCT song inspiration I picked up on instantly though was "Sankyu". VERY heavily influenced by Pat Metheny's "Facing West", which preceded Sankyu by 3 years. Look it up on Spotify.

If you read through the forums, you'll see that a lot has been said about this album (and it's role in the U.S. tour). 'Sing or Die (International)' is the first DCT album I bought, so it will always have a special place within me. It's a good album, not a great one, nonetheless. Right for the U.S....

I've just watched the DVD again recently and there's one thing I didn't notice before. On the first encore, with just Miwa and Masa on the elevated stage at the back.

Is Masa actually playing Stairway To Heaven on the guitar in accompaniment to Miwa singing Yasashii kiss o shite?!?

I too would love to go. But it all hinges on whether ticket are obtainable from outside Japan.

Oh, and finances. Credit crunch and all that :(

is the program that was sold at this and other concerts other than the National Stadium different from the National Stadium program? Not that I know of. The program I bought at the Fukuoka show was the same one that can be seen on the front page of the Wonderland 2007 online store at http://www.dct...

Thanks Jei for a most excellent concert report. I too am quite jealous I didn't make it to Tokyo. With the benefit of hindsight, perhaps I should have been a bit more cryptic in my Fukuoka concert posting. Shoulda thought about the DVD buyers, sorry if I've spoilt any surprises. The DVD will be out ...

I don't think the set was any different from the other concerts, but I also think they played every verse for their songs this time. The show ended at about 8:25 PM. Almost 3.5 hours of the best concert I've ever seen! You got the songs in their entireity? The must be the concert filmed for the DVD...

Looks like y'all had a great time, and the National Stadium looks fantastic. Presumably these were the concerts filmed for the DVD? Any indication as to when it will be released? Fingers crossed for another pre-Christmas treat to go along with the new album.

No need to show any tickets. Just join the queue and buy whatever you want.

How soon before the concert did you receive details on where and how to pick up the tickets? Get it touch with Ticket Pia or whoever now! I hadn't heard anything before I flew out to Japan 3 days before the concert. I had to email them and they finally replied the day after. They apologised and gav...

Out of curiosity, did you see what they did with the Family Area/Zone? Family Area? I didn't see one anywhere I'm afraid. did you see anything from the stage? Can you guess how far you were from the main stage? You can see from the photo how far I was, about 100 metres or so from the main stage, bu...

Wonderland 2007. Fukuoka 12th August

Getting to the venue was simple enough. A short subway ride from Tenjin in the town centre to Tojinmachi Station, then a 10 minute stroll along the canals and through the Hawks Town mall brings you to the Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome. The second stop on DCT’s Wonderland 2007 tour. http://www.cathalchu....

Well, for the Fukuoka show, my seat in the Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome baseball stadium was behind where the home plate would have been. Far from the stage at center field, but right in front of the mini stage, kind of like the Diamond 15 set up. A full concert report will follow next week. Promise.

Well, since I started this thread because I wanted to go to Wonderland 2007. It's only right that I post and say that I did indeed go! I was at yesterday's show at the Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome and had an excellent time. A full report will follow sometime next week when I return home. Suffice to say...

Anyone heard how we get the tickets yet? I assume it is some sort of will-call. I'm beginning to worry about this actually. I'll be going to the second Fukuoka show next Sunday and I haven't heard yet how I'm supposed to pick up my tickets. Fingers crossed the info will arrive in my in-box before I...
