Put 'Mike Pela ' into your search engine and you'll see he's still quite busy as a producer and engineer on a variety of projects. I was sorry to see him go when DCT switched labels, especially considering the outcome of the label switch (only one U.S. release allowed). As part of the DCT 'family' o...

A big problem with popular music in general (and which my wife and I noted in Kouhaku and the Music Station on 2/17) is that so few of these people can actually SING. Miwa CAN, which is a big reason why we all love DCT. Inspirationally, today's music for the most part leaves a lot to be desired. Pai...

Miwa, Masa and the band were in very good form on a very pretty song. Right before the performance, the announcers mention the 'Staring at Love and Death' drama in which 'Memai' is included.

How about that audience, tachikaze?

I finally got to watch Kouhaku. I thought the Special Version of 'Yasashii kiss' was very good... wished it would have been longer (I guess that was the 'Warwick Thumb Bass' they showed on DCTgarden that Masa was playing). On 'Nando demo' I thought someone was a bit loud on the chorus- Masa I believ...

'Staring at Love and Death'

DCT will work on the soundtrack of a drama series on Japanese TV called 'Staring at Love and Death'. The soundtrack will include 'Memai' and a cover version of the title track, a 1964 Japan Record Award-winning song. The drama will air on March 18th and 19th.

POWER PLANT is making some seats available for members at the Music Station show. Unfortunately, applicants must be female, out of high school, and under 25. Looks like Music Station/DCT wants to include a certain audience for taping. Like the Rolling Stones' halftime show, I guess.

Hello Celes, and thank you for making the Wonderland '95 DVD available for download. Unfortunately, I have sound only- I'm not sure if I did something wrong- but it's good quality sound. Nice to meet you!

It sounds like this was never released- they mention that all the tracks were released but one, and if you look at the track listing when they show it you can see some tracks with English titles like 'Don't You Say...' and 'Lat 43 N', which we know from their appearance on DCT albums.

Thanks nakoruru for making Utaban available for download. My wife and I watched it and figured out that they are saying that the 'Cha-cha and Audrey's Project' tape was made 17 years ago. That part of the show was meant to spoof a Japanese version of 'Antiques Roadshow', where people bring in old it...
