Jim Lick's review of the Fillmore concert

[Thanks to Jim for letting me post this here -Jei] Jim Lick's review of the Fillmore concert (yahoo-dct@nobuddy.com) Sounds like the San Francisco concert and the LA one were pretty similiar. I got to the Fillmore around 6:20pm for the 7:00 door opening. There was already a pretty good line by then...

Re: The evolution of DCT

Great story JEI. Here's my take on where DCT is with their career. They are in a kind of transition phase. Obviously, their music has evolved a great deal over the albums. In fact, it is this artistic growth that makes them the great band they are. I agree. In fact whenever I've heard someone say "...

Welcome Jenn & Tachikaze! (A little late, but welcome nonetheless!) I've heard about that 91/95 combo DVD in Taiwan/HongKong too. Does the 91 come with a chapter where a very young Miwa is 'introduced' (Shows her wearing a number of different outfits...)? The official release had that as one of the ...

Backing band was very good (though I wish they had Koh playing stilll :) Was Koh not part of the pp-mix or arena-mix? I know he played on the number of songs on the mgo album. $30 for this was quite a steal :) Funny, the scalper guy in front gave up in disgust 20 minutes before the doors opened... ...

Re: DCT will be coming back to Seattle!!

The guest artist was done and the lounge music played once again...the suspense was awesome, exhilarating! Heh, lounge music. We had the 80s greatest hits in Vegas. It was a quick way of finding the older members of the crowd...seeing the heads bop and sway to Dexy's Midnight Runner's "Come On Eile...

I am wrong in thinking that 90 minutes is more than enough from the band, given it's a Wednesday show and they've got 2 more, the ticket prices were so cheap and the venue so small? There's no such thing as more than enough from DCT. :) Actually, I didn't have a problem at all with just 90 minutes....

Re: My experience at the Fillmore.

I am a little clostrophobic, and add my yelling to that, I almost passed out from lack of blood circulation during the initial rush of the stage, in which I was getting madly pushed against, and the fact that I WAS 3 FEET FROM DCT made me so excited!...and Masa noticed it (how embarassing!). He sai...

They had T-shirts, MGO cds & It's All About Love CDs available in Vegas, but only after the concert.

If you want a T-shirt, be quick on your feet. They sold out in less than a couple minutes in LV. :)

[Thanks to Aaron for letting me reprint this here -Jei] From Aaron Woolfolk (theyounglion@yahoo.com) Last night was the Dreams Come True concert here in Los Angeles at the House of Blues. Wonderful show -- despite a couple of misfires that had nothing to do with the band or their set. More on that ...
