Despite how much I wanted to hear a Moshimo Yuki Nara/Kyou Dake wa medley we are going to see: Nando Demo / Love Love Love 2006 medley.

Sounds good to me. I can't wait! :D

[In case you guys haven't seen...DCT performed with a giant Choir and 20-30 kouhaku performers backing them up...quite something to see ^^]

First Reaction: Holy Crap! :)

Second Reaction: Did they just get all the Kouhaku performers as their choir?

Third Reaction: Oh...the performers are on the sides. So who is the choir made up from? (PowerPlant folk? ^^)

Fourth Reaction: At least they're all clothed ;D
(Bodysuits, my ass)

Heh...there just seems to be something right about such a large group backing them up. :) Loved the drum corp too (even if not all of them were actually playing ^^)

it's available on the Site That May Not Be Named; search "melecjp" videos.

too bad the video quality is subpar...

looks like powerplant jr peeps.

Gotta say that nobody's topping that Ozma act any time soon.

All it says on the blog is that it was the "secret choir" and also that Masa's mom, aunt and 義理の妹 (what does "giri" mean???) where part of this choir. There is pictures of the folks as well:

The whole show in good quality is available at the tracker I don't want to say the name. I will share DCT's part alone once my download finishes.

... I wonder if the producers REALLY didn't know.

Edit: I used Tachikaze's advice (thanks!) and googled "giri no imouto" to discover it means sister-in-law.

Very interesting entry about the Kouhaku performance. I noticed that during Love Love Love, Miwa just took the ear monitor off.

She wasn't hearing a thing on the ear monitor! And there were no monitors on the stage, I wonder how she managed to keep the tempo. Actually most of us don't realize how important the monitor is, because the P.A. system sound gets on stage with a delay - that I didn't know myself. Of course, Miwa is a pro but she did magic singing without the monitor!

All I know is from my own experience, when you have a loud sound coming to your ear then you can't hear your own voice properly. For me even playing the keyboard without headphones is nearly impossible to keep the tempo. That's why I'm not a pro! :P

Another interesting fact, there were about 200 people on the choir.

You really couldn't tell DJ Ozma's dancers were wearing bodysuits until the closeup at the end, although I thought I did notice that their bikini bottoms looked kind of strange... My wife said NHK would get a lot of calls, and sure enough, within a few minutes the announcer made the bodysuit disclaimer. We might not see Ozma again on Kouhaku, though- good thing he went out with a bang.

Kumi Koda had a chance to outdo Ozma's dancers, but I saw that she changed her mind at the last minute (nice costume for the set with Exile on Record Taisho, though)...
