Tracklist:

Guys, I have a feeling this is it for DCT. I think it is going to be the best selling single in a while for them. I'm sure Mirai Yosouzu II is going to draw people into buying this single but even so I don't think they are going to get #1. That spot is going to be B'z for sure. :x

I forgot to mention that the PV for Ai Shiteru no Sign is available on DCT Garden. Its plot is: the girl ask people to show her their "Ai Shiteru no Sign" (I love you "sign") err, on Mirai Yosouzu lyrics things like bumping their helmets 5 times is an "I love you sign" and such. Anyway, it turned out to be a nice PV.

It's really obscene how well B'z 'charts in' every time:

They've been going a year longer than DCT and have basically doubled DCT's output, which was easy to do since all their songs sound the same.

Let's be fair, female artists have a shorter chart span than male artists. I just checked, Amuro Namie haven't had a #1 since 1999. DCT's single sales are increasing slowly lately, Osaka Lover was around 110k last time I checked. Though all DCT other singles from this year were under 60k.

They have a real chance of getting another #1 with the new album though.

xx->01 B'z - 39877 (x1.75) = 69,785
xx->02 DREAMS COME TRUE - 11335 (x1.75) = 19,836
xx->03 Nightmare - 2925 (x1.75) = 5,119
Great! Their sales usually boost on the weekend after they appear on MS so I think they have a chance of holding that #2 for the week.

Considering the sales of #3, I think there's no doubt they'll hold onto #2 ;)
That'll make it their 23rd Top 5 hit :)

On a side note: I love CDJapan. I received the new single today!
(Gotta love pre-release shipments ^^)

Other side note: On the new single....
David T. Walker plays guitar!
Otani Koh on piano (Koh also does the strings & brass arrangements for the new MY 1 & 2 versions)

The song is quite possibly the best song I've heard from DCT in a very long while. Not saying that their previous singles were bad, but this song for some reason really touches me. It's simply beautiful and for me is an early contender for my pick as 2007 Song of the Year.

Just for the day ^^
It'll still be #2 for the week

Still, this single might have some staying power if it's actually creeped up on B'z before the end of the week :)

Uh yeah!!! I waited for this #1 for so long... even for one day it is good enough for me. ^^ Sales were up to 81k last time I checked, considering it took Osaka Lover months to go over 100k it definitely is their best selling single in years.

Funny, I'm having a hard time "getting" into this new Mirai Yosouzu song. I find myself listening more to the new versions of the other songs... anyway for me "Moshimo Yuki Nara" (the song) was the best single this year so far. How about you guys?

Jei, let me just say thanks one more time: THANKS! ^^

As happy as I am about its' success, this song really doesn't do much for me- probably the first single that I could say that about since I started listening to DCT. To me, 'Aishiteru no sign' only gets its' meaning in terms of the video (which is sort of the idea, I know). My wife agrees- without the video, she thinks there's nothing special about it. It's success shows just how fickle the pop music buying audience is, no matter where you are.

Recently, 'Kyou dake wa' would be my favorite.

I'm really happy that they got the number one spot. Don't think I can remember any of DCT's singles getting a number one spot this year, although I could be wrong. (Haven't followed the Oricon charts for awhile.)

I love this song a lot that I kept on playing it over and over again for several days. There's just something about it that makes me listen to it many times compared to any other single that DCT has released over the past two years or so. Can't describe it unfortunately.
