On October 27th, DCT will be releasing a new single called "LIES, LIES". It's going to be the theme song to the drama "Nasake no Onna ~Kokuzeikyoku sasatsu kan~" (it will begin airing on October 21st) The tracklist is:

1. LIES, LIES
2. LIES, LIES -Piano Version- feat. Ootani Kou
3. LIES, LIES -Guitar Version- feat. JUON from FUZZY CONTROL

Wow, that profile picture. Very different! Halloween-like. This definitely caught me by surprise as I don't think DCT has ever done a "dark" song before? Only like happy and sad ones. I'm quite interested in seeing how this song is.

I wondered what they might do for their 50th single... this should be interesting.

Nice to hear Koh is back.

I love the promo art they have for it!

I hope it sounds "spooky" or "dark". I love it when they change it up and go for different styles as opposed to the standard pop/ballad.

I dunno, some of the stuff off of Sing or Die and The Monster were pretty off kilter. Like Honeybee and This Is Not Love At All for instance...

All the Virgin albums were a little different, partially because DCT used them to experiment with Hip-hop, but also because having a new label gave them the opportunity to try a different sound. Especially though (I think) because DCT was anticipating a break into the U.S. market and were trying to retool their sound for American audiences.

As far as dark goes, you could also include 'Yasashii Kiss o shite'.

Yeah, though Diamond 15 was definately one of their 'brightest' albums, that one was pretty heavy. That and "Unpretty Day".

Also, the theme from "Nando Demo" / the intro to "A Little Prayer" ALWAYS gives me chills.

Those are actually two of my favourites from the album...

Along with "Yuuwaku" which is also rather dark sounding.

Good, uptempo sound, maybe not as dark as we thought, but this is not the entire song, either...

Lyrically, pretty dark (and sexy, my wife says).
