Billie, Ella, Sarah, and Miwa

I think those first three names are necessary for understanding DCT and their goals.
It's no coincidence that Miwa's main influences are Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughn. They are among America's greatest singers ever, and I think those are the kind of high stakes DCT is playing for now. When all is said and done, I think Miwa and Masa will be recognized as among the greats of popular music.
As I listen to DCT's records, I'm astounded by the development they have made. They obviously put the music first in every respect.
I don't know what their strategy is for America, but several things make me think we may see more of them in the U.S.
Miwa pointed out they have been writing songs in English recently.
Could the west coast shows be a trial run for a larger tour? ("We'll see you soon" they said!)
