Hello all!!!

I'd to introduce myself, my name is Priscila. I'm a 22-years-old brazilian fan of DCT. Well, like some I started to like DCT when I played Sonic 1 & 2 on Genesis. I was amazed by the songs, as soon as I discovered the cheat codes to get to the sound test on Sonic 1 I taped the songs in K7 to hear them - it was in 1991 waaaay before the CD-R era.
At the time I became a fan of Masato-san as well as Koshiro Yuzo, which is a composer who did wonderful songs for games like Streets of Rage.

In 1997 I got involved on the emulation scene, a friend of mine sent me an mp2 version of "Sweet Sweet Sweet". I never thought I'd hear one of my all time favorite songs from Sonic 2 sung by such amazing singer as Miwa-san. Soon I went to a CD store in the japanese neighborhood and there I ordered right away The Swinging Star then I became a HUGE fan of DCT. Thanks to the web I got to know the band!

I love everything from DCT from their early albums and their latest singles. I'm amazed by Mascara Matsuge, I can't stop listening to it. Recently I was able to buy Beatmania featuring DCT for PSX, I can't stop playing it. :D

I'm hoping to talk to other fans about DCT and well... DCT is known world wide. I just wish they'd come here to play, the whole japanese colony here in Sao Paulo would be grateful and so would I.

Bye all!

hi nakoruru:

welcome! ah, by the sounds of it, you found them the same way i did!! god, i love those sonic tunes!

i also like koshiro yuzo you mentioned there... he did the music for the master system version of sonic... i love what he did with masa's green hill music on the end credits of sonic 1, the strange scale he put over it. he did some great tunes himself, shame he was limited by the master system, which was even more limited music-wise than the mega drive!

have fun

Welcome nakoruru!
Very pleased to meet a DCT fan from yet another continent :)
I wonder if Masa knows how much his Sonic work has affected people...^^

I know what you mean about their PSX...I wanna find the arcade version of that..dance around to DCT like a fool :)

Is there much DCT fandom in Brazil...outside of Japanese colony?

What's your favorite DCT album and song?

BTW...are you the same nakoruru on the Public MM torrent site? ^^

Welcome again! :)

Hmmm.... probably not. You know, I study AS Music Technology at college and I've mentioned Dreams Come True to loads in my class... usually they're not that interested until I say "Oh, and the bass player is the guy who wrote the music for sonic the hedgehog"

and then i get....

"No way!"
"I really must hear this band"
"Really!?"

I've got some of my mates liking DCT or at least knowing who they are. Most dont understand why they havn't bothered with Europe

The bass line in Sweet Revenge has had a few people amazed!

First of all I want to thank everyone, I feel so welcome here. :) I can't wait to get to talk more about DCT!!! :)

I absolutely hope so because he's an amazing composer. And those songs from Sonic are the best I ever heard on games, many times I'd play just to hear Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant Zone, these two rocked my world.

Actually I own a copy of Dance Dance Revolution feat. DCT for PSX and a dancing mat too. It's really fun to dance to DCT tunes! :) And also both the arcade and the PSX versions of Beatmania. Since it's quite hard to find the DDR game, let me know if you guys want it I can post it a torrent on Suprnova.org for the game. It runs on the emulators out there and the emulator supports the PSX mat.

Still unkown, unfortunately. Outside the Japanese colony people only know the songs from anime soundtracks.
Songs has got to be "Sweet Sweet Sweet" and album... tied up between Love Goes On and Wonder 3. :D
Guilty as charged.

Shameless self-promotion: I recommend to everyone to go check the Public MM torrent site at bunko.theppn.org since I'll be posting the show Domoto Kyodai where Miwa and Masa were interviewed and performed Kinki Kids' new song Ne Ganbaru yo and Mascara Matsuge. You guys have GOT to see this!!! I'll be posting DCT PVs as well so stay tuned. :)

Bye...
Priscila.

PS: Sorry if the "
" on my message don't work, this message board doesn't seem to like Mozilla. I'm a HTML coder myself so these commands aren't strange to me..

Hello James,

That's so great! Which ones do you like the most? I love Mystic Cave theme, Starlight Zone also blows me away. I already mentioned Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant so... it doesn't count. All others I also love!
i also like koshiro yuzo you mentioned there... he did the music for the master system version of sonic...
I didn't know that! I'm going to RUN to my master system to check it out then. For Yuzo's work I like Streets of Rage (aka Bare Knuckle) 1 the most, 2 & 3 weren't as good. Return of the Shinobi is great but my favorite is Shinobi 3 songs, those were fantastic. :D

The ending songs of both Sonic are the very best since Masa sort of "blended" the songs together and put some more stuff on the songs.
I love the part you mentioned, I'm getting so nostalgic I'll have to play some Sonic tonight. :)

Bye...
Priscila.

I swear...the more James and you talk about Sonic, the more I wish I hadn't sold my Genesis all those years ago...
(Dug 'Sonic 2' and 'Sonic & Knuckles')

Nice! As far as I know, DCT is only group with its own DDR....
(or at least they were the first ^^)

I second this recommendation...very enjoyable show! (Thanks Priscila!)
Made me break out my dictionary so I could better understand the fast Q&A that M&M went through...

And I really hope they peform their own version of 'Ne, Ganbaru yo' whenever they release their next album...Hearing Miwa sing the first 30 seconds of it just blew the KinKi Kids version away...:)
