Fukuoka, 7th August, 2011
I've just returned from the second Dorikamu concert at Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome, my first attendance to their live performance. The roof of this baseball stadium was closed. I was one, maybe the only, gaijin among 35,000 people. The concert was great!
The performance lasted for nearly three hours, including encore. It was a lavish show, involving about 15 (?) musicians, nearly 50 dancers, and a local brass band from Kyushu.
How could the artists get close to their audience? By using all parts of the gigantic main stage and three additional elevating small stages, named "cubes", within the arena, by running, even cycling around the inner circle, and - Miwa did it again and "flew" over the audience.
I can't provide you a setlist. Miwa appeared on stage crying, and started right away performing the no. 1 voted "Nandodemo". After about two hours of old and new pop songs DCT performed two rock songs including "Monsters".
After 2 1/2 hours DCT said good-bye. Rhythmic clapping for encore remained reluctant, but "La Ola" waves went thru the audience and finally got DCT on stage again for three more songs, beginning with Love Love Love. The final song was Matane, it began with hanabi (fireworks) behind the main stage.
Three hours of standing, dancing, and clapping left me completely soaked. But I do not want to have missed any single second of this fantastic show!

Of course! There were long lines of buyers patiently waiting at these booths. Without waiting, I got a tiny "DWL 2011" towel for free - I only had to show my Power Plant membership card and turn in a coupon I had received by (snail) mail.Jei wrote:Was there anything outside for the concert?
