Karaoke resources?

Post by buraian » Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:41 pm

Anyone know where I can find DCT karaoke CDs or DVDs?

I've done some poking around on the www, but haven't turned anything up yet.

Cheers,

Long story short: on the Sega Saturn my brother bought on Yahoo Japan came a CD+G with karaoke songs. I almost fainted when I saw that Mirai Yousouzu II was included. In one channel is karaoke, in the other is sang by some studio musician.

Very strange, none of the several singers nor musicians get credits anywhere on the CD. It came also with a THICK catalogue of CD+G to order, this volume I've got was printed in 1994. I'm amazed up to this day with my luck getting such strange release. :)

I meant to rip the video with the song and post on Bunko (!) but I haven't done this yet. I hope to do it and share it on JPOPSuki... gotta get my SegaCD running to read this CD+G.

Finally, I promise... CD+G reads like a normal audio CD in any CD player but it has video in it. Only few CD players support CD+G.

While my brazilian Sega Saturn was messing up the colors, last night I decided to try on the japanese Saturn console and it worked fine.

It is very interesting to hear Mirai Yosouzu II sang by a different singer. :)
Since it is not a DCT release and frankly, I doubt you can find these CD+G to buy in stores - it was released back in 94 - I suppose it is okay to share it.
