With Sonic's 20th anniversary this year, a CD is going to be released of all the tracks from Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. Not just that but also demo tapes of tracks from both games as well as bonus tracks. It's going to be released this Summer.
Really cool.
I'm interested in what the bonus tracks could be.

Heard about this on sonicretro and another gaming blog I wonder how the demo tapes will sound, I'm interested in the bonus tracks as well.
Offtopic if only they would release demo tape for sonic 3 but that will never happen lol.
Masa and Miwa and Takahiro too
now a duo dreams come true.

Talk about Dreams Come True! I've been dreaming about being able to hear the demo tapes for Sonic 1 and 2 for years. This is absolutely the best possible news I could hear right now.
I had a close brush with mortality a few weeks ago when I underwent surgery for a really advanced perforated appendix, and I'm just now recovering from the complications.
I'm glad I lived to see this day!

Finally some more info on this!
It's coming out on October 19th (they said summer!
...but I can wait), and it'll have 88 tracks across 3 discs.

The Track on the CD called Theme of Sonic the Hedgehog demo reminds me of theme of wonderland a bit at the start first 3 seconds.
look up a user on you tube called DJYuzoboy to hear some songs also he has sped up versions of some sonic 2 song because apparently the tempo is a bit slower than normal.

I got ahold of this and I must say, it's QUITE interesting to hear the original instrumentation for some of the songs. Some are spot on and some are not at all what I was expecting! It's all good, though. :3
